Acceptance (part 2)

Letting Go of what you can't change doesnt make you a coward but a brave person.

"So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate." - 2 Samuel 12:20

So to those familiar with the passage, David had been pleading with God that the life of his son should be spared. He prayed and mourned and fasted just for his son. Everyone that saw him knew that what He really wanted was God to spare the life of His son. But an amazing thing happened, the son still died and the servants of David were afraid to tell him.

Listen dear one, you can only see a season of your life whilst God sees your lifetime. He knows why you must go through what you are going through right now.
Instead of constantly mourning for what you can't change choose to worship God for closing the door cause His ways are wiser than our ways.

Yes... it maybe painful, very painful, but sometimes even after the prayer; God will still say no and no is a very good answer

Sometimes God gives us a no because he wants to protect us from ourselves. Sometimes, He knows that right now you can't handle that which you really want.
Sometimes God intentionally closed some doors so that you may enter through another door. When God closes a door you need to be willing to accept what has happened and believe that if he has allowed it to happen it's the best thing for you.

When they later on told him that the son had passed on; He awoke, bathed, went to worship God and ate. You would wonder why he seemed to be okay yet he was pleading and refusing to eat just so his son would live. Listen David spent time in the presence of God so much that he must have known that even a No from God would be an answer.

What I love about God's no is it has goodness attached all over it. It has love attached all over it!! The No has as much value has the Yes!

Reach that moment where you say, "if God doesn't want me to have it right now, I dont want anything to do with it!"
